　　當教材第一集念完時，請開始進行這一系列

的英文笑話，屬延伸閱讀，非做不可。


　　延伸閱讀的生字，只須挑重點單字背，而且必須

先在〔有聲字典〕裡把聲音聽熟再背。


　　因為沒有有聲書可以聽，所以這些單字不好記，

且易忘。只挑重點單字背即可。


　　很多讀者告訴我，起初他們完全看不出笑點在哪。

但繼續念教材，並且看了多篇之後，就越來越看得懂。





　　A young man visiting a dude  ranch wanted 
         
　　

to be "macho," so he went out walking with 

one of the hired   hands. As they were walking 

through the barnyard, the visitor tried starting 

a conversation: 


　　"Say, look at that big bunch of cows."

　　The hired hand replied, "Not 'bunch,' but 'herd.' " 

　　"Heard what?" 

　　"Herd of cows."

　　"Sure, I've heard of cows. There's a big bunch 

of 'em right over there."
