　　當教材第一集念完時，請開始進行這一系列

　　　　  

的英文笑話，屬延伸閱讀，非做不可。


　　延伸閱讀的生字，只須挑重點單字背，而且必須

先在〔有聲字典〕裡把聲音聽熟再背。


　　因為沒有有聲書可以聽，所以這些單字不好記，

且易忘。只挑重點單字背即可。


　　很多讀者告訴我，起初他們完全看不出笑點在哪。

但繼續念教材，並且看了多篇之後，就越來越看得懂。







　　A sixth grade class is doing some spelling drills.
　　　　
The teacher asks Tommy if he can spell 'before.' 

He stands up and says, "Before, B-E-P-H-O-R."

　　The  teacher  says,  "No,  that's  wrong.  Can  

anyone  else  spell 'before'?"

　　Another little boy stands up and says, "Before, 

B-E-F-O-O-R."

　　Again the teacher says, "No, that's wrong." 

The teacher asks, "Little Johnny, can you spell 'before'?"

　　Little Johnny stands up and says, "Before, 

B-E-F-O-R-E."

　　"Excellent Johnny, now can you use it in 

a sentence?"

　　Little Johnny says, "That's easy. Two plus 

two be fore."
